Horween's Shell Cordovan is tanned using traditional methods: slow, full vegetable pit tanning, air drying, and hand-finishing. This meticulous process results in a dense yet pliable leather with a transparent, unique finish that defines the character of Shell Cordovan.
The HANLEY is whole-cut - meaning the upper is crafted from a single, uninterrupted piece of leather, providing not only a sleek and minimalist aesthetic but also unmatched durability. Orders within United States
We ship to the USA on a DDP (Delivery Duty Paid) basis, which means that we cover all relevant import taxes and duties.
Please note that for certain US states, due to state law GORAL will calculate, collect and remit US sales tax in states where legally required and details of this will be shown at checkout.

Our traditional method of crafting footwear is the same as it was over 80 years ago. The last pair of hands which touches the footwear before the customer, is the craftsmen who made the footwear. Aside from being handcrafted, each item is quality checked by the GORAL craftsmen.

Please note that many factors influence a shoe’s fitting characteristics including the materials, the construction method and the design. Consequently, our conversion table is to the nearest UK size and can only be regarded as an indication.
To give you peace of mind, however, we provide a 14 day returns policy – providing footwear is not damaged or worn outside the home. This policy is in addition to your statutory rights.

CLICKING
The clicking process is a crucial step in shoe manufacturing, where the individual leather pieces that make up the upper are cut into precise shapes before being assembled. This stage gets its name from the sound the machines make as they cut through the material.
CLOSING
The closing processin shoe manufacturing refers to the stage where the individual components of the shoe upper, such as the vamp, quarters, and tongue, are sewn or stitched together to form the complete upper structure of the shoe.
LASTING
The lasting process is a critical stage in shoe manufacturing, where the shoe's upper is molded into its final shape and attached to the sole. This process gives the shoe its structure, fit, and comfort, making it one of the most important steps in creating a well-constructed shoe.
FINALISING
