BEHIND THE SCENES 13

-

Constantly improving and evolving is part of the GORAL way. Since 1936 we've made a conscious effort to develop our methods and stay ahead of the curve to make sure the GORAL name is always synonymous  with high quality shoemaking.

The biggest change we made recently was developing a blake stitch to work for our trainers but we've also made other changes to the way we make our trainers. Improving comfort and durability was key for our latest collection and here are two big changes you'll find in the construction.

FELT MIDSOLE:
Why?
Putting a felt layer between the lasting board and the outsole puts more cushioning and absorption between your feet and the ground. This makes our trainers more wearable and durable.

FULL LEATHER LASTING BOARD
Why?
Because the cardboard lasting boards commonly used in trainers break down over time when exposed to sweat or water, then break as the shoe flexes during wear. This change increases the lifespan of the shoe and also makes the blake stitch easier and more likely to last.
